Welcoming Summer!

Welcoming Summer!

Blessed Summer Solstice, Litha & the beginning of Cancer season!

Celebrating the longest day and the shortest night of the year, may we give gratitude for the Earths abundance and the suns bright light and heat. It's a time to spend quality time outside, to connect with people, plants, and animals, and to see the magic of spirit alive and blooming within the natural world.

As the warm, sunny days grow to their longest, life on an off-grid Herb Farm is for sure at its busiest. I've been growing & gathering all sorts of buds and blooms such as Red Clover, Wild Rose, Oxeye Daisy, Fireweed and St. Johns Wort flowers, infusing them into oils, vinegars and alcohols to make the freshest most potent herbal medicines available.

Walking mindfully through this long, tall grass, I am witness to the miniature ecosystems that thrive in these undisturbed fields. The bees, birds, butterflies and countless insects, all feed off bounty within these beautiful wildflower fields. Thankfully we all get to benefit too! There is so much medicine to be found in a wild meadow, may I suggest taking a little stroll sometime through the nearest one and see what you can find.

Today, we celebrate the Summer Solstice as a way of honouring natures incredible fertile energy, and the light, warmth and fire that resides within you, connecting with the natural world on a deeper, more meaningful level.

May we continue to ask the question of what it is that has called us to the Earth in the here and now, and spend time in wild places remembering and listening deeply within for the answers. I truly believe that by recognizing and celebrating these subtle shifts in Earths natural rhythms, we can become more attuned to nature and feel more grounded in our everyday lives, able to gracefully hold all that we came here to create.
