For those of you new to my world of Earth Care & off-grid Herb Farm living, welcome! I'm Sarah Rose. Whether you're new to this space, or you've been following along this journey for a while, allow me to take you all on a little tour of some not-so-seen scenes of my unique forest life.
Loving and living with my partner at the edge of a wild property in the Upper Squamish Valley within a vintage Silver Streak trailer completely off-the-grid for over 7 years now, has been no easy feat, but is for sure a worthwhile endeavor.
Fuelled by wood heat, gravity fed mountain water and a whole lot of fresh air and sunshine, no matter the challenge, we seem to make it work. Learning little by little, trial and error, throughout the seasons, the storms and all the Winters followed by the Springs, I can safely say I've been slowly transformed.
While this way of living is not for everyone, it's most definitely the way for me. Space to practice Permaculture, freedom to grow healing herbs and healthy food, as well as having an epically close proximity to the wilds of the Earth is a must, an integral daily immersion into natures deepest mysteries. Thankfully on top of all that we have a cozy home and a comfy bed to return to each night.
I'm grateful to each and every one of you following along on this journey of remembering, of ancestral reclamation and of celebrating the beauty of nature and our place within it. may we all be forever changed by what we find, and hopefully to become those people we have all been waiting for in the process.
