From the first drive in to the last drive out, my most recent trip to the Vancouver Island Herb Gathering at Innisfree Farm & Botanic garden was an incredible experience of story, wisdom sharing and connection with community.
This years theme was ‘Our stories, Our living wisdom,’ honouring the deep well of herbal knowledge passed through generations. We gathered to listen to elders who’ve walked this path before, as we share and shape the future of herbalism. With panels and workshops by some amazing herbal elders such as David Winston Rosemary Gladstar and Nancy J. Turner this years gathering was especially powerful.
Grateful for the dedicated team and of course all the others within the wider community to make these events possible. It’s more important than ever for us to be meeting in person, sharing wisdom and experience and finding new ways forward to create health and promote healing with the herbs. A big thank you also to everyone who came by to show support and say hi at the blanket market!
