Mugwort was named for the Greek Goddess of the moon “Artemis”, in respect of this herb’s benefits to women’s health - especially in menstruation, childbirth and the menopause. Mugwort also has a deep connection to the Dreamtime and have been used historically to enhance visioning and lucid dreaming. In folklore Mugwort was believed to initiate the clarity of the dream experience and to help us remember dreams easier. As a renowned Visionary herb, the Artemisias were the plants that opens one to dreams of the future.
