Welcoming August, and on the Celtic wheel of the year Lughnasadh, arriving in the fullness of Summer, it is a time to pause and see how far we’ve come from first seed to this now first harvest, giving thanks before we begin our slow fade into autumn.
I’ve been out communing with the now blooming Skullcap, beginning to harvest the powerful plant for the newest fresh plant tincture. May we celebrate the abundance all around us, honour the work of our hands, and share in the gifts from the land.
Lughnasadh is a reminder: The harvest is not only what we gather from the earth. It is also what we have grown within ourselves. What are you harvesting this year?
