How do I love thee Nettle, let me count the ways! It's that time of year again, when the early Spring Nettle plants poke their heads above ground and I'm finally able to create the newest fresh plant Tincture.
Stinging Nettle is arguably one of my favourite plants to work with on the daily because 'Urtica Dioica' is a very nutrient rich herb, increasing our energy by nourishing the adrenals. It has traditionally been used as a spring tonic as it is a slow-acting nutritive herb that gently cleanses the body of metabolic wastes.
Nettles have a gentle yet stimulating effect on the lymphatic system, are balancing to the metabolism and strengthening to the cells as they are high in iron, vitamins and minerals.
I can for sure count all the ways we use this native wild medicinal herb in our handcrafted offerings. I’ve been out on the edges of the forest harvesting everyday in order to restock many of these beloved Nettle filled herbal medicines such as...
