The Magic of Harvest Season

The Magic of Harvest Season

Sharing a few of the many blooms as the magic of harvest season continues here on the Herb Farm. Feeling an ever-deepening of my gratitude for this land & unique off-grid life with each bowlful of medicinal flowers and leaves that makes their way onto the drying by racks or into jars mixed with oils or alcohols.

Elecampane, Wild Mint, Calendula, Hyssop and Borage are all popping through in their fullest flowery expression while the flocking pollinators, bees and butterfly's, are lighting up all corners of the garden. The abundance of nature is ever present if your eyes are trained to see it. Look closely at the multiplying Calendula blooms, the clusters of miniature Wild Mint flowers, and the warmth of the Summer sun that continues to pour forth its endless light fuelling all the growth on this beautiful Earth.

Harvest season on the Herb Farm is one of my favourites and also one of the busiest, so l'm glad I found a few moments to capture me and the garden in full bloom. Honouring all the beings as well as myself for the hard work and dedication it takes to make these harvests possible.

"The poet Mary Oliver asked - what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? The bluebells seem to offer a simple answer: bloom. Bloom where you are planted, even if the soil is thin and the winds are strong. Offer your beauty to the world, however briefly, and find joy in the simple act of being."
