From seed, to the garden, from drying rack, to the jar, the journey of creating a deeply infused herbal oil is no small feat. There really is such a breathtaking and painstaking process to it all, yet somehow it seems worth it when you see those rainbow of shades of colour beaming back at you through rays of sunshine in your front yard Herb Farm mountain view.
These oils become the base of our ‘Skin Soothe’ Salve Blend made of Plantain, Dandelion, Calendula, Fireweed, Red Clover & Nettle. To be honest this unique salve is one of the things that truly helped me heal a subtle autoimmune disease manifesting through my skin as eczema that was a part of my life since I can remember, up until a few years ago.
Working closely with naturopath/herbalist, we worked on healing many internal factors, such as understanding my allergies, ingesting tonics and tinctures, building gut flora through probiotics and fermented foods, and shifting my levels of stress and exposure to toxicities through food and generic personal products.
Long story short, I “tried it all” and throughout that process I was dreaming of a topical blend that would actually deeply soothe the dry itch, nourish the skin, and help it heal. This salve was truly made for me, and I am so excited to share it with you. Every success story I hear from you fills me with joy, to think the healing I’ve experienced could radiate towards others in such a palpable way.
Robie recently said “I just had to reach out and let you know how amazing your Skin Soothe Salve is! I’ve been having problems with dry, cracked feet and after using it for a week my feet are almost completely healed. Nothing else I’ve tried has even come close to this. Thank you so much for this wonderful product, I’ll definitely be ordering more!”
I am grateful to each and every one of you for the support, to myself, to the plants, and the wisdom that lives on through the ages, that I was lucky enough to stumble upon and courageous enough to dive into. May we all deepen into the healing that herbs can offer us in so many ways.
