Welcome to our wonderful world of firewood chopping and stacking!
Living off-the-grid as we do, wood heat is so important to our comfort and survival throughout the long Winter months. Every year as Summer draws to a close so begins the falling and chopping, throwing and stacking, storing the best dry wood in our custom built woodshed, for the colder seasons that lie ahead.
Much of the wood we’ve used the last few years has been from naturally fallen trees retrieved from the land we live on, but this years load was purchased to support a local family-owned company.
This is just the beginning of the Winter firewood adventures but boy it feels good to start filling up the woodshed once more. Grateful for the trees, in ALL the ways they support our off-grid Herb Farm and our lives.
