Growing & gathering - Dried Bulk Herbs

After such a bountiful season of growing & gathering medicinal Herbs from our farm + forest I wanted to offer some of that extra abundance back outwards in all the ways that I could! Reintroducing these Bulk dried leaf & flower herbal gems like Motherwort, Mullein, Wild Bergamot, Nettle & Lemon Balm, available in 25g bags to restock your home apothecary and for your personal medicine making needs.

Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa) carries an energy that is both warming and cooling, stimulating and relaxing and has a high colitis oil content with strong antibacterial and anti fungal properties. It is commonly used to treat common colds and fevers, as it is anti-viral, antispasmodic and diaphoretic.

Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) can offer herbal help to the respiratory system, soothing the tissues of the lungs and throat and calming dry coughs and asthma. Wth its unique blend of cool, moistening and astringent properties, it acts as an expectorant, antispasmodic, analgesic, vulnerary and as a mild sedative, useful for insomnia and nerve pain.

Nettle (Urtica dioica) is a very nutrient rich herb, increasing our energy by nourishing the adrenals. Very high in iron, vitamins and minerals, Nettle is a slow-acting nutritive herb that gently cleanses the body of metabolic wastes, and have a gentle yet stimulating effect on the lymphatic system.

Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis) is well known for its medicinal mucilaginous root harvested in the fall, but these last few years I have taken to harvesting the leaves and flowers as well for use in our Tea Blends, bringing in the moistening, soothing and cooling energetics to aid in healing challenges in our Respiratory and Digestive systems with its antispasmodic and expectorant actions.

Even though we are a small scale Herb farm and most of the plants we grow go back into the making of our unique handcrafted herbals, I really wanted to share a selection of some of the plants that are invaluable to my own health and well-being, back to you and yours.
